Hue beef noodle shop is crowded every day

HO CHI MINH CITY – The beef noodle shop for more than 20 years has attracted customers thanks to its heirloom recipe, affordable price, and generous servings.

Diners who have the opportunity to go on Thien Phuoc Street, Ward 9, Tan Binh District will easily notice a two-fronted beef noodle shop with a parking space in front of the yard every morning. The shop owner, Lam Thi Thu Thuy (51 years old) said this is the shop left by her, it has been more than 20 years now.

The heirloom recipe has been kept unchanged for two decades, the broth cooked from beef bones simmered for many hours blends with the sweet taste of alum sugar and golden brown sugar. In addition, vermicelli does not use too much fish sauce, light aroma mixed with lemongrass, moderate taste, not too rich. The accompanying meat dishes are also taken care of by the owner, cooked separately for each type to keep the quality and taste, most notably the leaf rolls made by the Da Nang people.

A special thing here is the bowl of beef vermicelli without blood and crab cakes – indispensable ingredients of the traditional Hue noodle dish. Ms. Thuy said the change of ingredients was to suit the taste of southern diners.
