Severe Weather Forecast for the East Sea in the Coming Days

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a warning regarding unfavorable weather conditions in the East Sea over the next two days. The forecast indicates that the northern part of the East Sea, including the Paracel Islands, will experience strong winds reaching levels 6 to 7, with gusts up to level 8 to 9.

As of the evening of October 7 and throughout October 8, the northern East Sea will see rough seas with wave heights ranging from 2 to 4 meters, primarily coming from the northeast. The area from Southern Quang Tri to Dak Lak and from Ca Mau to An Giang will also experience strong winds of level 5, occasionally reaching level 6, with gusts of level 7 to 8.

Additionally, rain and thunderstorms are expected in regions from Southern Quang Tri to Ca Mau, including the Gulf of Thailand and the northern East Sea. There is a high likelihood of tornadoes and strong gusts reaching levels 7 to 8, with wave heights exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms.

On the night of October 8 and into October 9, the northern Gulf of Tonkin will see winds from the northeast to east at levels 5 to 6, with gusts of level 7, and wave heights of 2 to 3 meters. The northern East Sea will continue to experience similar conditions with winds and waves.

The meteorological agency has rated the disaster risk level at sea as level 2, indicating a high risk for all vessels operating in these areas due to strong winds and high waves.
