Traffic Adjustments on La Thanh Road for Belt Road 1 Construction
Hanoi has announced traffic adjustments on La Thanh Road due to construction work for the Belt Road 1

The Department of Construction in Hanoi is set to begin trimming the median strip of O Cho Dua Road to expand its width by 5.5 meters on both sides. This project is expected to address the ongoing traffic congestion in the area.
The section of O Cho Dua Road affected by this project runs from house number 34 to house number 80. Despite the trimming of the median, the road will continue to accommodate two-way traffic, with a median strip that aligns with the overall design of the road. The expansion will increase the roadway to three lanes in each direction, clearly marked by standard lane markings.
According to the Department of Construction, all necessary adjustments, including the relocation of trees, lighting systems, drainage, and shared technical infrastructure, will be completed by October 4. The construction teams are required to set up adequate barriers, construction signs, reflective tape, traffic lights, and personnel to guide traffic from a distance to prevent localized congestion.
The Traffic Police Department and the People's Committee of O Cho Dua Ward will work together to manage traffic flow, especially at turning points, and will monitor and address any encroachments on sidewalks and roadways for business or illegal parking around the intersection.
O Cho Dua Road is part of the first ring road, stretching 547 meters from the O Cho Dua roundabout to the intersection with Hoang Cau Street.
