In celebration of International Day of Older Persons on October 1, local officials from the Kim Son People's Committee visited and presented gifts to senior citizens in the area on September 29 and 30. The delegation, led by Do Thi Nga, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council, personally visited and offered gifts to eight individuals aged 100 and above, demonstrating the community's commitment to honoring its elderly members.

The visits included notable seniors such as Hoang Kim Phuong, born in 1927, from Tức Hiểu hamlet; Tran Thi Mit, born in 1924, from Dai Thang hamlet; and Nguyen Thi De, born in 1922, from An Hoa hamlet. The delegation also included other local leaders who expressed their gratitude for the contributions of the elderly to their families and the community.

During the visits, officials inquired about the health and living conditions of the seniors, emphasizing respect and appreciation for their life experiences and wisdom. They conveyed heartfelt wishes for good health and happiness, encouraging the seniors to continue being a source of strength and inspiration for their families and the younger generation.

This initiative reflects the deep-rooted cultural values of respecting and caring for the elderly in Vietnamese society.
