The 22nd Mid-Autumn Festival, organized by the Youth Center of Hue City, brought warmth and joy to over 500 children facing difficulties and disabilities in the area. Held on September 23, the event featured a vibrant atmosphere filled with performances and activities that celebrated the spirit of the festival.

With the theme "Lanterns Illuminate Dreams," the festival became a cherished gathering for these children, offering them a chance to experience the joy and excitement of the Mid-Autumn celebration. The event included various artistic performances and activities that captivated the children, many of whom were from social support centers and special schools.

As the festival commenced with the lively sound of lion dance drums, the children were led on a journey through traditional tales and engaging performances. Despite facing challenges such as hearing or visual impairments, the children's eyes sparkled with excitement as they participated in the festivities, surrounded by colorful decorations and delicious treats.

One of the attendees, Trần Thị Kim Thương, a 17-year-old girl from Quảng Trị, expressed her emotions about the festival. "I lost my mother when I was just five years old, and my father works hard in the fields. Since eighth grade, I have lived in a talent center. Experiencing four Mid-Autumn Festivals here, I feel I am no longer abandoned and my longing for home has lessened. I had never known a true Mid-Autumn Festival before," she shared.

The festival not only brought joy to the children but also touched the hearts of the young volunteers who assisted in organizing the event. Huỳnh Diễm My, a second-year student at Hue University of Foreign Languages, reflected on her experience, saying, "Seeing the pure smiles of the children when they receive lanterns or gifts fills my heart with peace and gratitude. Contributing my youth to bring joy to those less fortunate makes me feel fulfilled and proud."

During the program, Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo, the director of the Youth Center, expressed gratitude to the organizations and individuals who supported the event. Additionally, 70 scholarships were awarded to inspire and motivate the children on their educational journeys. "The Mid-Autumn Festival is an opportunity for us to show love, care, and the best things for children. Every child has their own way of experiencing the world and unique dreams. It is essential that each child deserves love, joy, and the chance to shine in their own way," she stated.

In addition to the scholarships, the organizers provided 70 cash gifts and hundreds of meaningful presents to the children, ensuring a memorable and impactful celebration.
