Two victims of a brutal attack in Phuoc Hai, Ho Chi Minh City, have been reported to have stabilized after undergoing emergency treatment for serious injuries. The incident occurred on the evening of September 13, when a young man attacked a family, resulting in one fatality and two injuries.

According to local authorities, the suspect was apprehended in the old area of Ba Ria. However, the identity and motive of the assailant have yet to be disclosed. The attack took place around 6 PM, when residents in an alley on Vo Thi Sau Street heard screams and rushed to the scene, only to find the homeowner deceased on the floor.

The deceased was identified as the husband of Le Thi Muoi, 58, while her son-in-law, Nguyen Van Linh, 34, managed to escape but was severely injured. Both victims were rushed to Ba Ria Hospital, where they received treatment for head injuries, with additional wounds on their arms and legs.

Following surgery, their health has gradually improved, and they are currently under medical observation for further recovery. The police have cordoned off the area on Vo Thi Sau Street to conduct a thorough investigation of the crime scene.

Residents living nearby reported that the suspect was familiar with the victims and lived in the same commune. After the attack, he fled the scene on a motorcycle. In response, dozens of detectives from Ho Chi Minh City Police were deployed to capture the suspect that same evening.
