On September 13, a significant number of parents from Nguyen Khuyen High School in Ho Chi Minh City were unable to enter the school to attend a meeting with teachers due to the gates being closed. This situation led to considerable frustration among the parents, many of whom expressed their grievances on social media.

One parent, identified as Nguyen An, arrived at the school at 7:45 AM but found the gates locked. According to the invitation sent by the homeroom teacher, there were two meetings scheduled that day. The first meeting was from 7:00 to 8:00 AM with the school principal, while the second was set for 8:00 to 9:30 AM with the homeroom teachers.

Nguyen An stated, "I came to attend the second meeting with the homeroom teacher, but I was surprised to find the school closed." Alongside her, over 50 other parents were also denied entry. Many parents wanted to participate in the second meeting to gather information about the first semester's plans.

After waiting for some time, many parents left in dissatisfaction, while about 30 remained to seek clarification from the principal. The principal, Lu Thi Tra Giang, later apologized but remarked that the parents' late arrival showed a lack of respect for the school. She explained that the school aimed to communicate important commitments and plans for the new academic year during these meetings.

Despite the apology, many parents were not satisfied with the explanation. Some had traveled from far away, and one parent recounted how they had attended the first meeting, stepped out briefly, and returned only to find the gates closed.

As tensions rose, local police were called to maintain order, and the remaining parents were invited to a classroom for further discussions. The principal's attempts to calm the situation did not fully assuage the parents' frustrations, as they felt their concerns were not adequately addressed.

Attempts to contact the principal for additional comments were unsuccessful, as there was no response to calls.
