The Traffic Police Department in Ho Chi Minh City has recently intensified its enforcement efforts against traffic violations occurring within railway safety zones. On September 5, 2026, the Rach Chiec Traffic Police team conducted inspections and issued fines to several motorcyclists who stopped their vehicles in prohibited areas near railway tracks.

During a focused operation, officers discovered numerous violations at various railway crossings. Notably, on To Ngoc Van Street, many motorcyclists were penalized for stopping within the railway safety corridor. Similar actions were taken on Kha Van Can Street and Nguyen An Ninh Street, where additional violations were recorded.

In total, the team documented 10 violations on the day of the operation alone. Between September 1 and September 5, the Rach Chiec Traffic Police identified and processed 25 cases of non-compliance with railway traffic safety regulations. The violations included ignoring traffic signals, crossing barriers while they were in motion or closed, and stopping or turning around in railway crossing zones.

In addition to enforcement, police officers actively engaged in educating violators about the risks associated with their actions, aiming to raise awareness about traffic safety laws. The Rach Chiec Traffic Police urged citizens to be more conscientious and adhere to traffic laws, emphasizing that a few seconds of impatience should not endanger themselves or others. They encouraged the community to work together to prevent accidents and foster a culture of safe and civilized traffic.

According to Decree 81/2026/ND-CP, motorcyclists who stop in railway safety zones can face fines ranging from 800,000 to 1,000,000 VND, while cars can incur fines between 6,000,000 and 8,000,000 VND.
