The Bình Thuận Police Department is actively working to promote adherence to railway safety regulations among local residents. With over 12 kilometers of the North-South railway passing through the area, there are numerous residential communities along the railway corridor, posing significant safety risks. Violations such as encroachment on safety zones and throwing objects at passing trains have raised concerns about the safety and security of railway operations.
In response, the Bình Thuận Police, in collaboration with the Saigon Railway Branch, has launched a campaign to educate residents about the legal requirements regarding railway safety. Officers have engaged with families living near the railway, encouraging them to sign commitments to comply with safety regulations. The campaign includes discussions on the potential dangers and consequences of unsafe behaviors, particularly the act of throwing stones and debris at moving trains.
Furthermore, the police have urged families to take responsibility for educating their children and relatives about the importance of adhering to safety laws. Regular inspections and patrols are being conducted to monitor the situation along the railway and address any violations promptly. This proactive approach aims to enhance public awareness and responsibility in preventing railway-related incidents, ensuring both safety and security in the community.
The ongoing educational efforts and commitment signing are crucial steps in fostering a safer environment around the railway, ultimately contributing to the overall safety of railway transportation in the region.
