SACOMBANK Ranks Among Top 4 Private Banks in Vietnam for Tax Contributions

SACOMBANK has made headlines by ranking among the top four private banks in Vietnam for its substantial contributions to the national budget. This recognition highlights the bank's consistent performance in tax payments, which have increased significantly over the years, showcasing its dedication to both economic growth and social welfare.

In the recent VNTAX 2026 honor roll, SACOMBANK's contributions to the state budget have been remarkable. The bank contributed 2.469 trillion VND in 2021, which rose to 2.702 trillion VND in 2022. After a slight dip to 2.177 trillion VND in 2023, the contributions surged to 3.916 trillion VND in 2024 and reached 4.304 trillion VND in 2025. Over the past five years, SACOMBANK's total contributions have increased by over 74%, reflecting its robust operational growth and commitment to fiscal responsibility.

This upward trend in tax contributions is indicative of SACOMBANK's effective business strategies, particularly during its restructuring phase, which has focused on improving operational efficiency and risk management. As the bank's business performance improves, it has more resources to fulfill its obligations to the state budget, thereby laying a foundation for long-term growth.

However, SACOMBANK's impact on the economy extends beyond mere tax payments. The bank actively participates in credit activities, payment services, and millions of cashless transactions daily, which are essential for driving economic growth. By providing capital to businesses and individuals, SACOMBANK facilitates production, consumption, and investment, thus amplifying its economic contribution.

In recent years, SACOMBANK has rolled out various preferential credit programs aimed at sectors encouraged by the government, including agriculture, small and medium-sized enterprises, and export-import activities. The latest initiative involves a credit package of nearly 100 trillion VND for export-import customers, with a reduced interest rate of 2%, available until the end of 2026. Additionally, the bank is allocating 10 to 15 trillion VND to support priority sectors, small businesses, and foreign direct investment enterprises, further stimulating economic activity.

SACOMBANK's commitment to social welfare is also noteworthy. The bank has invested over 1 trillion VND in social programs from 2017 to 2026, addressing various community needs, including education, healthcare, and disaster relief. This dual approach of fulfilling tax obligations while supporting community initiatives exemplifies SACOMBANK's broader definition of success, which encompasses not only financial metrics but also community goodwill and social value creation.

As SACOMBANK continues to enhance its financial foundation and operational efficiency, it aims to contribute even more to the national budget while driving economic growth and supporting community development.
