GTA 6 Faces Major Leak as Gameplay Videos Emerge Online

Grand Theft Auto 6, the highly anticipated title from Rockstar Games, has suffered a major leak, with gameplay videos and even images of the game's map appearing online. This leak marks the third consecutive day of revelations, with the latest video showcasing plane gameplay and hinting that the leakers might possess a playable build of the game.

In one of the leaked videos, a character named Jason shoots the word "LEEK" into a wall, indicating a significant escalation in the leaks. Previously, it was uncertain whether the leakers had only clips of the game, but this new footage suggests they may have much more. The gameplay has raised alarms among fans and developers alike, as it could potentially spoil the storyline of GTA 6.

The group behind the leaks, known as CyberLeek, has been actively releasing videos that not only show gameplay but also include taunts directed at Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. The leakers have been promoting a memecoin through these videos, further complicating the situation.

On August 19, 2026, the group released a fourth gameplay video that featured knife combat, intensifying concerns over potential spoilers. This video ended with a cutscene that echoed previous content, suggesting a strategy to undermine Rockstar's efforts to maintain secrecy around the game.

The initial leak occurred on August 18, 2026, when two videos surfaced showing Jason engaging in activities such as basketball and driving. Alongside these videos, an image of the game's complete map was also leaked. The origins of these assets remain unclear, but they are linked to a manifesto from CyberLeek that criticizes the gaming industry's shift towards an all-digital future and the removal of physical copies.

Despite the ongoing leaks, neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has issued a public statement regarding the situation. IGN has reached out for comments. The leaks come just days before the scheduled release of "Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look," a Netflix exclusive set to debut on August 27, 2026.

Historically, GTA 6 has faced numerous leaks, including a significant breach in 2022 that resulted in over 90 videos and images being leaked online. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has previously expressed disappointment over such leaks, emphasizing their impact on the development team.

As the gaming community awaits the official release of GTA 6 on November 19, 2026, the leaks continue to generate buzz and concern among fans and industry professionals alike.
