Increasing Workforce for Primary Healthcare in Quang Ngai
In a recent restructuring of its healthcare system, Quang Ngai province has successfully transferred a total of 399 healthcare workers from old health centers to bolster the workforce at local health stations. This includes the addition of 43 doctors, aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services offered to the community.
The increase in personnel is expected to enhance the capabilities of local health stations in providing general medical care, initial health assessments, disease prevention, and health management for residents. For instance, the health station in Cam Thanh ward has received six new staff members, bringing its total workforce to 29, which includes four doctors.
In conjunction with these personnel changes, Quang Ngai's health sector has also dissolved three health centers under the Department of Health and reorganized 19 health centers into regional general hospitals. This restructuring is anticipated to significantly improve the operational quality of primary healthcare services, ensuring better health management and care for the local population.
The local government is optimistic that these changes will meet the growing healthcare demands of the community and enhance the overall health outcomes in Quang Ngai province.
