Pork prices in Vietnam have continued to drop sharply as of August 11, 2026, with prices ranging from 57,000 to 60,000 VND per kilogram. This decline has been noted across different regions, affecting the overall market dynamics.

In the northern region, prices have fallen to between 57,000 and 60,000 VND per kilogram. Several provinces, including Cao Bang, Lao Cai, and Son La, have reported prices as low as 57,000 VND, while Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Phu Tho are seeing rates of 58,000 VND. Other areas such as Lang Son, Bac Ninh, and Hai Phong are priced at 59,000 VND, with Quang Ninh, Hanoi, and Hung Yen reaching the highest price of 60,000 VND per kilogram.

In the central region, pork prices are currently between 58,000 and 59,000 VND per kilogram. Notably, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Dak Lak have seen a reduction to 58,000 VND, while Gia Lai and Khanh Hoa are priced at 59,000 VND.

Meanwhile, in the southern region, prices also reflect a downward trend, ranging from 57,000 to 59,000 VND per kilogram. An Giang has reported prices dropping to 57,000 VND, and other provinces like Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, and Can Tho are at 58,000 VND. In contrast, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City have prices at 59,000 VND.

This continuing decrease in pork prices raises concerns among farmers who are struggling to maintain profitability. The fluctuations in the market are attributed to various factors, including supply and demand dynamics, as well as consumer purchasing behavior.
