New Proposal for Compensation and Resettlement When Land is Reclaimed
A new draft of the Land Law proposes changes to compensation and support for individuals affected by land

A village secretary who also serves as the head of the local front work committee is entitled to compensation following their dismissal due to village restructuring. This compensation is governed by Decree 154/2025/ND-CP, which outlines the rights of individuals affected by such changes.
The individual, who has served in their role for six years, inquired about their entitlements as they approach retirement age. According to legal experts, the individual qualifies for several forms of compensation due to their tenure and proximity to retirement.

In addition to these compensations, the individual can choose to preserve their mandatory social insurance contributions or opt for a one-time payout according to social insurance laws, provided they have been contributing during their service.
