A shocking murder case in Thailand has taken a new turn as a suspect has revealed that his gang may be responsible for more killings beyond the recent high-profile case involving two Russian sisters and three members of a Thai family. Chatchanan Paen-iam, 23, known as "Fluke," is currently in protective custody at the Najomtien police station in Sattahip, Chon Buri province, due to safety concerns.

Chatchanan was interrogated for over three hours by Police Colonel Pasakorn Paijit, head of the Chon Buri provincial police investigation unit. During this questioning, the suspect indicated that the gang might have other victims, prompting authorities to broaden their investigation. Chatchanan is one of four suspects arrested in connection with the case, which police are treating as a series of murders.

Two other suspects, Thana "Pong" Kerdthong, 43, and Thongchai "Thong" Srinil, 39, were apprehended in Sa Kaeo province on July 31. Thana is accused of murdering the two Russian sisters, Diana Nazimova, 22, and Roman Nazimova, 17, as well as a Thai family consisting of parents and their daughter. He is also alleged to have raped the 18-year-old daughter of the Thai family.

According to the Thai Department of Corrections, Thana had previously served a sentence of over seven years for attempted murder and related firearm and drug offenses, being released on June 5. The fourth suspect, Atsadang Chuwong, 25, is also in custody. The suspects face serious charges, including premeditated murder, concealment of a body, rape, robbery, and illegal possession of weapons and explosives.

On August 2, the Chon Buri police issued an apology to the families of the three Thai victims for failing to provide regular updates on the investigation. They assured the families that officers are continuing to investigate the case and are committed to bringing those responsible to justice. The apology came after relatives expressed frustration over the lack of information following the report of three missing persons on June 27, only to learn later that they had been murdered and buried in the forest as part of the investigation into the Russian sisters' case.

This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Thailand, highlighting the need for thorough investigations into violent crimes and the importance of timely communication with victims' families.
