The Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have filed a criminal case related to a workplace accident that resulted in seven people being affected at the Dabaco Thanh Hoa pig farm. On July 31, local authorities announced that the investigation would focus on violations of labor safety regulations at the farm located in Thach Quang commune, Thanh Hoa province.

The accident occurred on July 18 around 5:30 PM when a worker, identified as B.V.V., was electrocuted while repairing the electrical system near the farm's waste filtration pit. He fell into the pit and showed signs of suffocation. Fellow workers, including T.V.V.L., attempted to rescue him but also experienced symptoms of gas inhalation and required emergency care.

By 11:48 PM that same day, seven workers were admitted to Cam Thuy General Hospital. Tragically, five of them succumbed to their injuries. The deceased included B.V.V. (37), T.V.L. (35), B.V.T. (39), all residents of Dien Quang commune, Thanh Hoa, along with N.V.T. (34) from Thach Binh commune and T.D.C. (28) from Hanoi.

The two remaining victims, T.V.H. (46) from Ninh Binh province and P.V.H. (40) from Dien Quang commune, were initially treated at Cam Thuy General Hospital before being transferred to Bach Mai Hospital for further treatment. Following the incident, the company ensured that six other workers who were near the accident scene were also taken to Bach Mai Hospital for health checks.

Dabaco Thanh Hoa Co., Ltd. is part of the Dabaco Vietnam Group, which is responsible for a pig breeding and meat production project approved by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in 2021. The project, which covers over 50 hectares, has a total investment of more than 770 billion VND and aims to raise 5,600 breeding pigs and over 158,000 market pigs annually.
