The overarching plan, which extends to 2045 with a vision towards 2075, emphasizes a multi-polar urban model that prioritizes the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and logistics infrastructure.

The strategic development plan outlines Bac Ninh's commitment to achieving urban classification standards by 2030, enhancing its status as a key economic growth hub in Northern Vietnam. The province's geographical advantages, bordering Hanoi and other major cities, facilitate regional economic development and connectivity.

Goals for Sustainable Urban Growth

The urban development strategy aims for a green, smart, and modern city. Bac Ninh intends to foster a circular economy and achieve net-zero emissions. The roadmap includes several key milestones:

• By 2030: Complete criteria for a type I urban area and upgrade to a centrally governed city.
• By 2040: Establish a balanced economic structure between high-tech industries, commercial services, and logistics.
• By 2050-2075: Evolve into a livable city that meets Asian standards, gradually forming a super city with synchronized technical and social infrastructure.

Bac Ninh aims to position itself as a leading center for semiconductors, AI, and logistics in the region. The province is prioritizing investments in high-tech sectors, particularly in microchip production and semiconductor industries.

Infrastructure and Economic Corridors

In addition to technological infrastructure, Bac Ninh is enhancing its multimodal logistics systems to improve its participation in global supply chains. Upgrading transportation infrastructure and investment environments will boost the province's competitiveness.

The spatial structure of Bac Ninh includes three development zones and four economic corridors, optimizing development resources:
