On July 26, 2026, Deputy Minister Phạm Thế Tùng, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Public Security, visited the Kim Liên National Special Relic Site and the Truông Bồn Historical Site. This visit was part of the commemoration of the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs Day, honoring the contributions and sacrifices of Vietnam's heroes.

The delegation included leaders from various departments within the Ministry of Public Security and representatives from Nghệ An province, including Hoàng Nghĩa Hiếu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. At the Kim Liên site, the delegation laid flowers and offered incense to express their deep respect and gratitude towards President Hồ Chí Minh, the founding father of the People's Public Security forces.

During the ceremony, the delegation pledged their unwavering loyalty to the Party, the nation, and the people. They committed to upholding the values taught by President Hồ Chí Minh and to continue the proud tradition of the People's Public Security forces, emphasizing service to the nation and the people.

Following their tribute at Kim Liên, the delegation also visited the Chung Sơn Temple, where they honored the ancestors of President Hồ Chí Minh and remembered the sacrifices made by family members and martyrs for the independence and freedom of the country.

Lastly, they paid their respects at the Truông Bồn Historical Site, a significant location that marks the heroic sacrifices of 13 young volunteers and 1,240 martyrs during the resistance against American forces. The sacrifices of these individuals symbolize the indomitable spirit and patriotism of the Vietnamese people.

The event concluded with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen heroes, reaffirming the delegation's commitment to continue the revolutionary legacy and strive for a peaceful and happy life for the people.
