(Congan.nghean.gov.vn) - On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Logistics Department of the Provincial Police visited the Truong Bon Historical Site and the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery on July 25, 2026, to pay their respects.

Colonel Ta Dinh Tuan, Head of the Logistics Department, led the delegation in lighting incense to honor the 13 young volunteer soldiers who bravely sacrificed their lives while on duty. The group also commemorated the 1,240 other soldiers who fell while maintaining vital transportation routes during the resistance against American forces. Their noble sacrifices symbolize the undying spirit of revolutionary heroism and patriotism.

The delegation expressed deep gratitude at the Vietnam-Laos International Cemetery, where over 11,000 soldiers from 47 provinces are laid to rest. These soldiers were part of the Vietnamese volunteer forces and military experts who fought in Laos.

This tribute not only reflects the profound gratitude of the Nghe An Police Force towards the beloved President Ho Chi Minh and the fallen heroes but also serves to instill revolutionary ideals and a sense of national pride among officers and soldiers. It reinforces their commitment to building a modern, elite police force worthy of being called a heroic unit of the people's armed forces.
