Duc Giang Chemicals Joint Stock Company (DGC), listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, has announced its consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2026, revealing a staggering 50.52% drop in after-tax profit. The company reported a total revenue of 2,416.2 billion VND, representing a 16.55% decrease compared to the same period last year.

The decline in profit is attributed to a combination of factors, including a 16% reduction in revenue and a significant increase in input costs for raw materials such as sulfur, electricity, coke, and ammonia. Additionally, DGC's mining operations were temporarily halted for investigation, leading the company to rely on imported ore, which resulted in higher costs for yellow phosphorus compared to the same period in 2025.

For the first half of 2026, Duc Giang Chemicals recorded total revenue of 4,541.66 billion VND, down 20.42% year-on-year, with after-tax profit reaching 870.82 billion VND, a decrease of 49.6% compared to the previous year.

As of June 30, 2026, DGC's total assets stood at 19,271 billion VND, a decline of 267 billion VND since the beginning of the year. The company has approximately 9,300 billion VND in undistributed after-tax profit.

On the stock market, DGC shares are currently under warning due to an auditor's exception opinion on the 2025 financial report. Moreover, the company has not held its annual general meeting for over six months since the end of the financial year, and its shares are under restricted trading due to delays in submitting the audited financial report for 2025.

Recently, on July 14, Duc Giang Chemicals finalized its shareholder list to hold its annual general meeting for 2026, scheduled for August 13.

As of the close of trading on July 22, DGC shares fell by 5.8%, closing at 40,500 VND per share, with a trading volume of nearly 1.3 million units.
