The financial reporting season for the first half of 2026 has brought exciting updates as of July 22. Notably, a real estate company has reported a staggering profit increase of nearly 150% for the second quarter. In addition, a beverage company has seen its earnings double compared to the same quarter last year.
Among the companies that have released their Q2 financial results, Techcombank (TCB) reported a pre-tax profit of 9.67 trillion VND, reflecting a 22% growth. Over the first half of the year, Techcombank achieved a total pre-tax profit of 18.54 trillion VND, also up by 22% from the previous year.
Another notable performer is MSB, which reported a cumulative pre-tax profit of 3.4 trillion VND for the first half of the year, marking a 7% increase compared to 3.17 trillion VND during the same period last year. In the textile sector, TNG maintained a positive trend with a Q2 profit of 179 billion VND, growing by 20%, leading to a cumulative pre-tax profit of 251 billion VND for the first half, up 25%.
On the other hand, the beverage sector has shown remarkable results. Bia Sài Gòn - Hà Nội (BSH) reported a Q2 profit of 17 billion VND, which is a 101% increase, pushing its six-month profit to 26 billion VND, up 275% year-on-year. Meanwhile, Sữa Hà Nội (HNM) posted a Q2 profit of 10 billion VND, a 57% increase, but its cumulative profit for the first half decreased by 11% to 15 billion VND.
However, not all sectors performed well. Hà Giang Mining (HGM) faced significant challenges in the mining sector, with a Q2 profit drop of 96%, leaving it with only 11 billion VND. The cumulative profit for HGM in the first half was 65 billion VND, down 83%.
As the financial landscape continues to evolve, these reports highlight the diverse performance across various sectors, with some companies thriving while others struggle to maintain profitability.
