Traffic Accident in Lâm Đồng Leaves One Dead and Two Injured
A tragic traffic accident on the Ho Chi Minh Road in Lâm Đồng resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The

A woman was fatally struck by a bus in Hanoi after she mistakenly entered a dedicated bus rapid transit (BRT) lane while riding her motorbike. The incident took place on July 18 at approximately 9:35 AM on Le Van Luong Street, near the intersection with Le Van Thiem in Thanh Xuan District.
The victim, aged 66 and a resident of Hanoi, was traveling in the direction of Lang Ha when she veered into the BRT lane. At that moment, a bus was approaching, resulting in a collision that caused her to fall onto the road. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The BRT system, which began operations on January 1, 2017, operates along a designated route from Yen Nghia to Kim Ma, with strict regulations prohibiting personal vehicles from entering the bus lanes. Violators face fines ranging from 4 to 6 million VND for cars and 400,000 to 600,000 VND for motorbikes.
Despite these regulations, the lack of a physical barrier separating the BRT lane from other traffic often leads to violations. On the same day as this tragic incident, another accident occurred on Vinh Tuy Bridge, resulting in the death of another woman in a separate collision involving a motorcycle and a car.
The authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding these accidents as they highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety and compliance with traffic regulations in the city.
