In a significant move to improve land management, local officials in Hanoi are set to embark on a 45-day campaign to survey and clean up data regarding agricultural land and interspersed plots. This initiative, particularly focused on unregistered agricultural land, aims to standardize land data and enhance the efficiency of land management.
The Thanh Tri district is leading this effort by measuring, mapping, and registering land, while also creating a national database on land. The campaign emphasizes the importance of reviewing and standardizing existing land records, ensuring that all agricultural and interspersed land is accurately documented.
Officials will directly visit homes to gather information and verify land ownership, ensuring that all parcels of land are registered in the land database. Currently, the district has over 11,500 land parcels in its database, with nearly 3,000 designated as agricultural land. As of now, data cleanup has been completed for over 5,400 non-agricultural parcels, achieving a 64% completion rate.
To ensure the campaign's success, local authorities are urging residents to prepare necessary documentation related to their land, including land use certificates and identification cards. The information collected will remain confidential and will solely be used for public management purposes.
This initiative not only aims to enhance the accuracy of land records but also to streamline administrative procedures for residents and businesses. By the end of the campaign, officials expect to have a comprehensive and up-to-date land database that reflects the current status of land use in the district.
