Military Academy Admission Scores Announced for 2026

The Ministry of National Defense in Vietnam has recently published the minimum admission scores for military academies for the year 2026. This announcement was made on July 7, and it reveals that the Military Science Academy requires female candidates to achieve a minimum score of 25, the highest across all military institutions. Male candidates, on the other hand, need to secure at least 18 points to be considered for admission.

Following the Military Science Academy, the Military Technical Academy has set its minimum admission scores at 19 for male candidates and 21 for female candidates. Among the officer training schools, the Tank and Armored Officer School has the lowest minimum score of 17, applicable to candidates from the southern region, which is equivalent to the minimum score at various colleges.

This year, a total of 23 military schools will admit 5,420 university students, marking an increase of over 1,000 compared to last year and the highest number in the past five years. Additionally, 72 candidates have been directly admitted to these military institutions. Besides direct admission, candidates can also apply through three other methods: based on the results of the National University of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City’s competency assessment tests, the Ministry of National Defense's competency assessment scores, or the high school graduation exam scores.

Last year, the highest admission score for military schools reached 30, which was required for female candidates applying to the International Relations program at the Military Science Academy and the Medical program at the Military Medical Academy. Furthermore, 15 schools under the Ministry of National Defense are set to enroll over 3,880 civil students, ranging from bachelor's to doctoral levels.

The Military Technical Academy celebrated its graduates recently, showcasing the commitment to training future leaders in Vietnam's defense sector.
