Recently, advancements in technology and data availability have allowed researchers to revisit the search for the graves. Thang shared that the project has benefited from improved access to satellite imagery, historical photographs, and other resources, enabling a more thorough investigation than was possible in the past.

One significant breakthrough came when Thang discovered an old photograph depicting a mass grave, which led him to investigate further. By cross-referencing various data sources, including satellite images and historical maps, the research team was able to narrow down potential burial sites.

As the excavation progresses, the team is also relying on testimonies from individuals who lived near the former cemetery. These accounts, while invaluable, must be carefully verified due to the passage of time and changes in the landscape.
