On July 6, 2023, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quoc Hung emphasized the importance of proactive and flexible implementation of inspections by the Police Inspectorate during a conference to review the unit's activities for the first half of the year and outline tasks for the second half.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Hung praised the achievements of the Police Inspectorate over the past six months. He encouraged the unit to continue its advisory role for the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security in directing inspection work. He stressed the need for the Inspectorate to carry out both planned and unplanned inspections effectively and in compliance with regulations.
According to reports presented at the conference, the Police Inspectorate has successfully implemented a comprehensive range of inspection activities, citizen engagement, complaint resolution, and anti-corruption measures. They have completed various assigned tasks and developed important plans and directives regarding inspection work and citizen engagement.
In the first half of the year, the Inspectorate received over 300 citizens and resolved numerous complaints and petitions. Their efforts in inspection, monitoring, and anti-corruption have been vigorous and focused, ensuring that all inspections are supervised and that draft conclusions are thoroughly evaluated.
Deputy Minister Hung highlighted the positive results in building the Party and the force, as well as in digital transformation. The Inspectorate has implemented a management information system for police inspections and established a digital database while researching the application of artificial intelligence and big data in analyzing complaints.
Looking ahead, Deputy Minister Hung urged the Police Inspectorate to continue refining the legal framework for inspection work, enhancing the quality of the police inspectorate force, and focusing on digital transformation. He also emphasized the importance of building a professional and ethical team that can effectively combat corruption and abuse of power within the agency.
