Successful Establishment of the Dong Hung Former Police Association for 2026-2031

On June 26, 2026, the Dong Hung Commune Police in Hung Yen province successfully held the founding congress of the Former People's Police Association for the term 2026-2031. This event is a crucial step in the development and consolidation of the association's presence in the commune.

The congress was attended by Major General Tran Minh Quang, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Former People's Police Association; Nguyen Minh Bau, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee; and Nguyen Duc Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hung Commune, along with other local leaders and 102 official delegates of the association.

During the congress, the representative of the Department of Culture and Society announced the decision from the Chairman of the Commune People's Committee regarding the establishment of the Former People's Police Association in Dong Hung. The congress unanimously elected an 11-member Executive Board and a 2-member Inspection Board, as well as a Standing Committee to lead the association's activities during the 2026-2031 term.

In his speech at the congress, Major General Tran Minh Quang praised the efforts, responsibilities, and unity of the members in preparing for the establishment of the association. He emphasized the important role of the Former People's Police Association in gathering and promoting the wisdom and experience of retired police officers, serving as a core force to support local authorities and the police in maintaining security and order.

Quang urged the association to stabilize its organization, implement effective operational regulations, care for members' rights and lives, enhance solidarity activities, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to political stability and the socio-economic development of Dong Hung.

Following the congress, the local police leadership initiated a coordination agreement between the commune police and the Former People's Police Association for ensuring security and order in 2026. The association also signed a collaborative program with the Former Veterans Association to strengthen cooperation in maintaining security and building a strong police force.

This successful organization of the congress and the signing of operational regulations with various associations highlight the proactive role and responsibility of the Dong Hung Commune Police in advising and collaborating to build a robust community security force.
