Traffic Organization Review on Three Highways Managed by VEC
The Vietnam Road Administration has mandated the Vietnam Expressway Development Corporation (VEC) to review

Beginning October 12, 2026, the maximum speed limit on the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway will be lowered from 120 km/h to 100 km/h. This decision was announced by the Vietnam Expressway Development Investment Corporation (VEC) as part of efforts to ensure traffic safety along the route.
The adjustment follows a directive from the Vietnam Road Administration, which aims to organize traffic effectively on the expressway. The new speed limit will apply to specific lanes where the previous maximum of 120 km/h was permitted. Other sections with different speed limits will remain unchanged.
VEC stated that this change is based on a review of the actual operating conditions of the expressway. The reduction in speed is intended to create consistency in traffic management between the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway and adjacent expressway segments, thereby enhancing overall safety.
As the implementation date approaches, VEC encourages drivers to pay close attention to the traffic signs, particularly those indicating maximum and minimum speed limits, as well as signs at interchanges. Motorists are advised to adjust their speeds accordingly, maintain safe distances from vehicles ahead, and be cautious when changing lanes or entering and exiting the expressway.
Additionally, VEC reminds drivers to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, including the Government's Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP concerning penalties for violations in road traffic. This initiative aims to promote a safer driving environment and ensure the stable operation of the expressway.
