The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has alerted the public about the possibility of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the Northern mountainous regions, Southern regions, and the southern Central Highlands this evening, June 24. The forecast indicates that the Northern mountainous areas may experience scattered thunderstorms with rainfall amounts ranging from 10 to 30mm, and localized areas could see heavy rain exceeding 70mm.
In the Southern regions and the southern Central Highlands, scattered thunderstorms are expected this evening, with rainfall amounts of 10 to 20mm, and some areas may receive heavy rain exceeding 50mm. The meteorological agency has warned that thunderstorms may be accompanied by strong winds, lightning, hail, and the risk of natural disasters rated at level 1.
The heavy rains and associated severe weather phenomena could have adverse effects on agricultural production, potentially damaging crops, uprooting trees, and harming infrastructure. Additionally, localized heavy rainfall may lead to flash floods in small rivers and streams, landslides on slopes, and flooding in low-lying areas.
