Northern Vietnam Braces for Intense Heatwave and Rain Forecast
Northern Vietnam is expected to experience a resurgence of intense heat starting June 24, following a brief

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a weather forecast for Vietnam covering the period from the night of June 22 to July 2. The forecast indicates a notable increase in temperatures, particularly in the northern and central regions of the country.
In the northern region, temperatures are expected to soar, with severe heat waves anticipated. Specific forecasts predict that on June 24, temperatures could reach as high as 39 degrees Celsius in some areas. Rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur sporadically in the evenings, particularly on June 25, with the potential for localized heavy rainfall.
The central region, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, will also experience extreme heat, with temperatures reaching dangerous levels. The forecast indicates that the heat will be particularly intense in the area from Hue to Da Nang, where severe heat is expected during the day.
Meanwhile, in the southern region, including the Central Highlands and southern provinces, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evenings. However, daytime temperatures will still be high, with some areas experiencing heat.
The meteorological agency has warned that thunderstorms may bring strong winds, hail, and lightning, posing risks to safety. As the forecast period progresses, the intensity of the heat is expected to gradually decrease after June 27.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against the heat and be alert for sudden weather changes.
