VNA adds Vietnam-India flights

HCMC – Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will raise the number of flights linking Vietnam and India by 30% starting from March 26 to satisfy the rising demand for passenger and cargo transport between the two nations.

According to its flight increase plan, the national flag carrier will operate four weekly flights on the Hanoi-New Delhi route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the Vietnam News Agency reported.

Meanwhile, the HCMC-New Delhi route will have three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

VNA launched its direct flights to and from India in June last year, contributing to efforts to facilitate trade and social and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and India.

The carrier is planning to launch a new route to Mumbai, one of India’s largest socioeconomic and cultural centers.

Over the past few years, India has been among Vietnam’s top trading partners, especially in the tourism sector.
