After a 2-year hiatus, AgroViet 2022 returns with 100 businesses

Featuring over 170 exhibition booths

The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a press conference to discuss the 22nd International Agricultural Exhibition - AgroViet 2022 on September 7 in Hanoi.

According to the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, AgroViet is an important annual trade promotion event within the agriculture and rural development industry. The program is chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center was assigned to coordinate with the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development to co-organize.

Agroviet 22 is organized with the following goals: Approach and develop 4.0 agricultural production, create added value for the value chain of agricultural products; enhance trade promotion activities, expand cooperation relations, act as a bridge between businesses and consumers; create opportunities for provinces/cities across the country to promote, introduce potentials and exploit the domestic market. In addition, the event contributes to the implementation of the strategy for sustainable agricultural and rural development for the period of 2021 to 2030, with a vision towards 2050.

AgroViet 2022 will feature at least 170 standard booths on 1,500m2 of product display floor. The Organizing Committee has received registrations from nearly 100 domestic and foreign units and businesses; including 28 enterprises from Australia, Russia, Japan, China, Thailand, and Indonesia.

For the convenience of visitors and transactions, the AgroViet 2022 exhibiton area is divided into 5 separate sections, including: The general exhibition booth with an area of ​​90m2 located at central area, with designs and decorations to promote the achievements of the agriculture and rural development sector; the results of the national target programs implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will be shown through images, data, and promotional clips about valuable 1-billion-USD key agricultural products export; national level OCOP products. The event will also introduce new technical models and technologies for the production and processing of agricultural products; 4.0 technology application model; display several key products with high export value such as rice, coffee, pepper, fruit, processed food, 5-star OCOP products among many others.

Domestic representation in association with agricultural value chains will include 60 standard booths organized by businesses operating in the agricultural sector, supporting industries, and agricultural services.

Research institutes, schools and technology transfer centers are divided into 3 sections: booths for seeds, materials and equipment for sustainable agricultural production; booths for product and technology specializing in processing to increase the value of agricultural products and auxiliary services; booths for high quality agricultural products.

The international exhibiton area includes 28 standard booths with the participation of businesses from various countries around the world Australia, Russia, Japan, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. Foreign organizations and joint-venture companies will display machineries, equipment and technologies for the production and processing of agricultural products, ancillary services, logistics services, and e-commerce.

The local and associations exhibition area will feature 60 booths, including: Local booths to display, promote and introduce key agricultural products, special fields to attract agricultural investment, high technology agricultural products; booths to introduce, promote and conduct transactions between industry associations.


The exhibition area for ​​start-ups in the field of agriculture has an area of ​​72m2, diplaying images and data on agricultural start-ups. Separate booths for each start-up subject are set up to provide additional information, introduce activities, exchange ideas and seek opportunities for cooperation and sustainable development. This is an effort to support start-ups as well as to display and introduce their products in context of the current event.


Agroviet returning live after a 2-year hiatus

According to Mr. Hoang Van Du, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, AgroViet 2022 will take place from September 15 to Septemner 18 atthe Agricultural Trade Promotion Center located at 489 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Hanoi.

In addition, there will be many workshops and forums within the framework of the event to connect, consult, provide information, and consume agricultural products. Namely, workshop to connect agricultural product consumption in the Dutch and Nordic markets (on the afternoon of September 15); Forum to consult and provide information for start-ups in agriculture (on the morning of September 16); Workshop to consult on design, product packaging design in accordance with the needs of the market (afternoon on September 16); Field and study visits will be organized for 1,000 delegates from 15 different farmer groups in the provinces and cities in the Red River Delta.

Mr. Le Thanh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Product Processing and Market Development shared that after a 2-year hiatus due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Agroviet has returned live. Vietnam and many countries have gradually removed barriers raised during the pandemic to enhance trade promotion activities. This is a good opportunity for AgroViet 2022 to return live with the participation of many localities, businesses as well as domestic and international units.

The event will facilitate the visit, exchange, study, and signing of trade agreements. Local and regional specialty agricultural products will be easily accessible to domestic consumers and international partners.  

This event is even more meaningful in the context that the agricultural sector is transforming from  production for domestic consumption to boosting production, building material areas for trade and export; gradually conquering difficult markets, affirming the quality and position of Vietnamese agricultural products.
