Emulation movement launched to welcome Youth Union congresses at all levels

Politburo member Vo Van Thuong presents gifts to representatives of former youth volunteers in Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province.

NDO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee held a ceremony at the Vietnam Youth Traditional Historic Site in the northern province of Thai Nguyen on February 6 to launch an emulation movement to welcome the Youth Union congresses at all levels for the 2022-2027 tenure along with a tree-planting festival to express eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee and First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan called on youth unions at all levels across the whole country to focus on directing the successful organisation of congresses at all levels, in which special attention should be paid to preparing the contents of the congresses.

The draft documents of congresses at all levels should be evaluated in a substantive and objective manner while pointing out achievements, limitations and shortcomings in the last term to come up with appropriate solutions, he added.

After the launching ceremony, Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong attended a ceremony to inaugurate the restoration and embellishment of the Vietnam Youth Traditional Historic Site in Yen Lang Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province; offered incense at the National War Invalids and Martyrs’ Monument in Hung Son Town, Dai Tu District; participated in the tree-planting festival to express the eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho in the Spring of the Year of the Tiger 2022; and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, representatives of former youth volunteers, and outstanding students living in difficult circumstances in the province.
