HCMC - Over 3,130 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals in HCMC on July 29, taking the city’s total recoveries between July 27 and 29 to over 11,200, the HCMC Center for Disease Control said today, July 30.

The city reported over 4,350 recoveries on July 27 and over 3,800 other recoveries a day later.

Although HCMC has seen thousands of new infections each day, thousands of Covid-19 recoveries in the city have been reported every day. The total number of Covid-19 patients in HCMC who have recovered since the pandemic hit Vietnam early this year has reached 28,320, the local media reported.

After being discharged from hospitals, the patients must self-isolate at home, check their body temperature twice a day and make online health declarations in line with the Health Ministry’s guidelines.

The city is treating some 36,400 coronavirus patients, with 847 of them put on ventilators and 14 others requiring ECMO support. Up to now, HCMC has reported 1,057 Covid deaths, according to the municipal center.

As of this morning, the city had reported 84,521 Covid-19 infections in the latest Covid-19 wave, which began in late April.
