Three more returnees diagnosed with Covid-19

HCMC - The Ministry of Health has confirmed three fresh imported Covid-19 cases in Hanoi City and Thai Nguyen Province, taking the country’s Covid-19 tally to 2,696 as of this morning, April 12.

The patients reported in Hanoi City are two men, aged 32 and 23, residing in Phu Tho and Hung Yen provinces. They flew back to Vietnam from Japan through Noi Bai International Airport on April 9 and were quarantined in Hanoi City. The two tested positive for Covid-19 on April 11 and are receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

The remaining patient is a 23-year-old woman who resides in Hanoi City. She arrived at Noi Bai International Airport from Japan on April 9 and was sent to a concentrated quarantine center in Thai Nguyen Province. The woman tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, on April 11.

As many as 2,429 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have made a full recovery. Among the active cases, 50 patients have tested negative for Covid-19 one to three times.

Some 38,000 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned to Vietnam from Covid-19-hit countries are being quarantined.
