Samsung has officially announced the rollout schedule for its One UI 9 update, which is set to expand to several older Galaxy models. The update will commence on September 21, 2026, with the first phase focusing on the Galaxy S26 series, including the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

Initially, One UI 9 was only available for users of the Galaxy S26 in South Korea. However, users in Vietnam can expect to receive the update in the following week. The Galaxy S26 FE will come pre-installed with One UI 9 upon release.

In the second phase of the rollout, scheduled for September 28, models such as the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Z Flip7 will receive the update. Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE is the only model confirmed for the third rollout phase in October, which is significant for those owning this budget-friendly device from the Galaxy S series launched in 2023, running Android 13.

It is important to note that while the Galaxy S24 series is not included in this initial schedule, there is a possibility that they will also receive a major update in October, similar to the Galaxy S23 FE. Samsung is taking its time to ensure that One UI 9 is thoroughly tested before its global release, as they aim to avoid serious bugs that could affect millions of users worldwide.

Many users who have tested the One UI 9 beta have reported that it does not represent a significant leap from One UI 8. However, Samsung assures that this update will enhance the mobile experience with new features and improvements, including the My FanCam video editing tool and the ability to create and edit tags on Now Brief.
