Apple is gearing up for its new iPhone launch event, which will take place at midnight on September 10, Vietnam time. This year, the tech giant is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable model rumored to be called the Ultra, although Apple has not officially confirmed this name.

Last year, when the iPhone 17 series was launched, Vietnamese consumers were able to purchase the devices on the same day as their global release, September 19, 2025, marking a significant change from previous years when they had to wait an additional two to four weeks. Apple had coordinated this sales rollout well in advance, informing retailers to prepare accordingly.

However, this year, representatives from domestic smartphone retail chains have indicated that Apple has not yet communicated its sales plans for Vietnam, leaving details largely undisclosed. Some retailers speculate that the sales schedule for the iPhone 18 series will mirror that of the iPhone 17 series, with pre-orders potentially opening on September 12 and devices available in stores by September 19.

The highlight of this year's launch is anticipated to be Apple's first foldable iPhone. According to leaks, this device will feature a book-style folding design, boasting a 7.8-inch inner display when unfolded and a 5.5-inch outer screen. It is expected to be powered by the A20 Pro chip, utilizing Apple’s first 2nm manufacturing process, alongside 12GB of RAM.

The rear camera system is rumored to include two 48-megapixel sensors, covering both the main and ultra-wide camera functions, while omitting a telephoto lens. Instead of Face ID, the foldable iPhone may incorporate Touch ID integrated into its side button. Battery capacity is expected to range from 4,800 to 5,000mAh.

Additionally, some leaks suggest that the prices for the new iPhones will be higher than those of the iPhone 17 series, although this remains unconfirmed until the official announcement during the launch event.
