Vietnam's National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has released a weather forecast for the period from the night of October 8 to October 18, indicating that heavy rain is expected across various regions of the country.
Starting from October 9, the Northern provinces will experience scattered thunderstorms and rainfall, with some areas receiving heavy precipitation. The Central provinces, particularly from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, are also forecasted to see significant rainfall.
The meteorological agency warns of potential severe weather conditions, including strong winds, lightning, hail, and sudden gusts during thunderstorms. Residents are advised to stay alert and take precautions against flooding and landslides in affected areas.
From October 10 to 18, the North and Thanh Hoa to North Quang Tri regions will see occasional rain at night, with sunny days. However, heavy rain is expected again in the Central region from October 10, especially in the areas from Nam Quang Tri to Da Nang.
