On September 23, 2026, in New York, Vietjet signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Galaxy Holdings, Galaxy Telecom, and Starlink to provide high-speed, free Wi-Fi services to passengers on Vietjet flights. This agreement was witnessed by General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, highlighting a new milestone in high-tech collaboration between Vietnam and the United States.

As part of the initial phase of the agreement, Starlink will be installed on 120 Vietjet aircraft, including 100 Airbus A321/Boeing 737 and 20 Airbus A330 planes. Vietjet also plans to equip future aircraft with high-speed internet services, aiming for comprehensive coverage across domestic and international flights.

In this agreement, SpaceX will provide the Starlink satellite infrastructure, while Vietjet will utilize its extensive flight network. Galaxy Telecom (SkyFi) will play a crucial role in integrating solutions, managing systems, and operating the Wi-Fi telecommunications infrastructure on the 120 Vietjet aircraft. Galaxy Telecom, established in 2024, is a subsidiary of Galaxy Holdings, with a charter capital of 100 billion VND.

The company develops a virtual mobile network and eSIM SkyFi, offering 4G and 5G connectivity along with various services within the digital ecosystem. In June 2025, Galaxy Telecom launched the SkyFi mobile network with the number prefix 0707, aiming to develop a digital service ecosystem linked to sectors such as aviation, dining, entertainment, and shopping.

Galaxy Holdings is closely associated with Nguyễn Phước Hùng Anh Victor, the son of Nguyễn Thị Phương Thảo, the Chairwoman of Vietjet. Founded in August 2021 with an initial charter capital of 500 billion VND, Galaxy Holdings underwent ownership restructuring in 2025, transferring ownership to Milky Way Investment Company, which is directly owned by Nguyễn Phước Hùng Anh Victor. Currently, Galaxy Holdings oversees numerous enterprises in finance, technology, and artificial intelligence, including Galaxy Pay in fintech, Galaxy Technology for digitalization and IT solutions, Galaxy Joy for airline point systems, Galaxy One for centralized infrastructure and shopping services, and FinOS in digital finance, among others.
