While the White House has yet to comment on the situation, it is known that Zelensky and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had separate meetings with U.S. officials in New York. Amid rising global fuel prices, the U.S. has been pressuring both Ukraine and Russia to cease attacks on each other's energy infrastructure, although no agreement has been reached.

Zelensky mentioned that technical peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are likely to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), although the U.S. has not provided a specific timeline for these discussions.
