The Central Political Bureau of Vietnam has made significant personnel changes, appointing Nguyễn Văn Phương as the Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee. This decision was officially announced by Trần Cẩm Tú, the Permanent Secretary of the Party Central Committee, during a meeting held on September 18.
In addition to Nguyễn Văn Phương, the Bureau has also appointed several other key officials. Đinh Hữu Thành has been designated as the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Đặng Văn Dũng will serve as the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Cà Mau Provincial Party Committee, while Trịnh Mạnh Linh has been appointed to the same position in Huế. Furthermore, Nguyễn Sĩ Hiệp will take on the role of Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hải Phòng City Party Committee.
The appointments are part of a broader strategy to enhance leadership effectiveness and ensure that officials are well-equipped to meet the challenges of their roles. Trần Cẩm Tú emphasized the importance of these officials being well-trained and having substantial experience in various leadership positions. He urged them to quickly familiarize themselves with local situations and to implement decisive measures aimed at achieving double-digit economic growth and fulfilling key political tasks.
Moreover, the newly appointed Deputy Heads are expected to play a crucial role in advising the Party Central Committee on strategic matters, particularly in economic and social development, as well as in the realms of education, media, and public communication.
