The popular Vietnamese television show 'Brother Overcoming Challenges' has been captivating audiences with its unique blend of traditional arts and modern music. In its latest episode, aired on September 12, the program featured performances that combined Chèo and Cải Lương with contemporary genres such as hip hop.

Huỳnh Lập, Jun Phạm, Mew Amazing, BB Trần, Hoàng Tôn, and Thơm from Da LAB delivered a standout performance of the song 'Trên đất mình,' inspired by the legend of Saint Gióng. This performance was enriched by a traditional ensemble that included instruments like the bamboo flute, đàn bầu, đàn tranh, đàn kìm, and guitar. The artists also incorporated a traditional martial arts segment called 'Roi Thái Sơn,' guided by martial artist Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất.

Another highlight of the episode was the group performance of 'Tích tịch tình tang,' led by Hoàng Dũng, who performed alongside his mother. This act showcased the cultural heritage of the Tày ethnic group, blending traditional dance and music with modern pop elements. Hoàng Dũng expressed his joy in performing with his mother, revealing that her passion for music inspired him throughout his life.

The show also featured the emotional piece 'Tiếng ru cội nguồn,' performed by a group including Đông Hùng, K.O, and Duy Khánh. This performance reflected the teachings of parents, drawing inspiration from the legend of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ. 'Brother Overcoming Challenges' is based on the Chinese show 'Call Me by Fire' and focuses on male artists over 30 in the entertainment industry. The first season, consisting of 15 episodes, consistently topped the ratings during its prime time slot, while the second season features 34 contestants and began airing in June.
