Bus Driver Arrested After Fatal Accident Claims 7 Lives
A bus driver has been arrested after causing a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of seven people

A serious bus accident in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, has left four people dead and several others injured. The local police have arrested the driver, Nguyen Canh Ha Long, born in 1993, for violating traffic regulations. The incident occurred on the morning of August 31, when Long was driving a sleeper bus from Ho Chi Minh City to An Khe.
At approximately 3 AM, while traveling along National Highway 19, the bus suddenly overturned on the right side of the road. At the time of the accident, there were 34 individuals on board, including two drivers, one assistant, and 31 passengers, many of whom were returning home for a holiday.
The accident resulted in one person dying at the scene, while three others succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital. Numerous passengers sustained injuries, prompting an urgent response from local authorities.
Following the incident, the Gia Lai Provincial Police launched an investigation to gather evidence and determine the cause of the accident, as well as the responsibilities of those involved. Based on the gathered evidence, authorities have formally charged and detained Long for his actions.
The investigation is ongoing, with the police committed to ensuring accountability and compliance with traffic laws to prevent future tragedies.
