In a recent interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump conveyed his astonishment at Iran's attacks on Gulf nations, emphasizing that Tehran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Trump stated that the ongoing military blockades and economic sanctions against Iran have been remarkably effective, leading to a significant weakening of the Iranian regime.

"We are doing very well. The naval blockade is incredible. We have effectively stripped Tehran of its naval and air capabilities, along with its leadership structure. The economic pressures have also contributed to Iran becoming a weakened state," Trump remarked.

During the interview, Trump admitted that he was shocked by Iran's decision to target countries in the Gulf region, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait. He noted, "Everyone was shocked. I was surprised when they attacked these nations. However, this is a positive development, as Iran has lost all support in the region."

When discussing Iran's nuclear program, Trump warned, "If Iran were to possess nuclear weapons, the Middle East would essentially cease to exist, and the US and Europe could become the next targets. We cannot allow them to have nuclear weapons."

In response to Trump's remarks, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) issued a statement regarding a video posted by Trump, which suggested a potential US attack on Kharg Island. The NIOC reassured that the situation in Kharg remains stable, and ongoing projects, including the reconstruction of ports and storage facilities, are proceeding as planned.

On the same day, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing the Tel Aviv government of misleading the US into the conflict with Iran. Araghchi pointed out that Netanyahu's comments in Hebrew acknowledged his influence in drawing the US into the conflict, contrasting with his public statements in English that praise Trump's leadership role.
