A new classroom complex funded by readers and donors has officially opened in Dien Bien, providing much-needed educational facilities for students in a remote mountain community. The inauguration of the new school facility at Huoi Quang 1 school site in Na Sang Commune occurred on August 25, 2026, thanks to the generous contributions from Dantri readers and supporters.

The project was a collaborative effort between Dantri Newspaper, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Province, and local authorities. Built on a site of over 192 square meters, the new facility includes two classrooms, two accommodation rooms for teachers, a kitchen, and two toilet blocks for both teachers and students.

After four months of construction, this new classroom block has been put into use, with a total investment of VND 877.125 million (approximately USD 33,700). Dantri readers contributed VND 425 million (about USD 16,300), while Huy Thanh Jewelry and the fan community of Vietnamese singer SOOBIN Hoang Son donated VND 410 million (around USD 15,700). Local authorities also contributed VND 42.125 million (about USD 1,620).

During the inauguration ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Toan, deputy editor-in-chief of Dantri, expressed gratitude to local authorities, residents, parents, and construction contractors for their support in ensuring the project was completed on schedule. He emphasized Dantri's commitment to improving learning conditions for students in remote and disadvantaged areas.

Po Dieu Ninh, vice chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien Province, highlighted the new facility as a meaningful gift from readers both in Vietnam and abroad. She expressed hope for continued collaboration between Dantri and provincial authorities to support local residents, teachers, and students.

Tran Hong Quan, deputy secretary of the Na Sang Commune Party Committee and chairman of the commune People's Committee, remarked that the new classrooms symbolize compassion, social responsibility, and solidarity with economically challenged communities. He noted that the project would help students study in a safer, more modern environment, thereby enhancing local education quality.

As part of the event, Dantri also distributed 20 gift packages to disadvantaged households in Na Sang Commune, each valued at VND 500,000 (approximately USD 19). Additionally, Huy Thanh Jewelry donated two 65-inch smart televisions to support digital teaching activities at the school, while the SOOBIN Hoang Son fan community provided nearly 2,000 notebooks, backpacks, learning supplies, colored pencils, crayons, storybooks, and new sandals for students.
