Ninh Bình's meteorological agency has announced a flood warning for the Hoang Long and Day rivers as water levels continue to rise. As of 7 AM on August 24, the water levels recorded were 2.99 meters at the Ben De station on the Hoang Long River and 3.5 meters at the Phu Ly station on the Day River, which is at flood alert level 2, while the Ninh Bình station recorded 2.08 meters.

Forecasts indicate that within the next 6 to 12 hours, water levels on the Hoang Long River are expected to rise to between flood alert levels 2 and 3 at the Ben De station, and between levels 1 and 2 at the Gian Khau station. Similarly, the Day River is predicted to reach flood alert levels 2 to 3 at the Phu Ly station and approximately level 1 at the Ninh Bình station.

In the following 12 to 24 hours, water levels on the Hoang Long River will continue to rise, with the Ben De station nearing level 3 and the Gian Khau station approaching level 2. For the Day River, levels are expected to reach around level 3 at the Phu Ly station and between levels 1 and 2 at the Ninh Bình station.

This rise in water levels raises concerns about potential flooding in low-lying areas, riverbanks, and coastal regions. Residents in these areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
