TBS Group Union Awards 3,446 Scholarships to Workers' Children

On August 23, 2026, the union of TBS Group organized a scholarship award ceremony, distributing a total of 3,446 scholarships to the children of workers. This initiative aims to support families as they prepare for the new school year, easing their financial burdens. The total funding for the scholarships reached nearly 2.9 billion VND.

The program was conducted across three units of TBS Group, including Lefaso Industrial Investment and Production Company in Tra Vinh, TBS Group Branch 7, and My Phong Leather Company. It showcases the union's dedication to the welfare of its workforce.

At Lefaso Industrial Investment and Production Company, 1,180 scholarships were awarded to students, with a total funding of 978.3 million VND. The scholarships were allocated based on educational levels and academic achievements. Meanwhile, at TBS Group Branch 7, 602 scholarships worth 487 million VND were given to outstanding students. My Phong Leather Company awarded scholarships to 1,664 students, amounting to 1.4224 billion VND.

One worker, Nhan Thi Dem, who has been with Lefaso for about five years, shared that her son, a tenth grader, has received the scholarship four times, while her daughter in third grade has received it twice. "Each time the company awards scholarships, it motivates my children to study harder and helps us with expenses for clothes and school supplies, reducing our financial burden at the beginning of the school year," she said.

Thach Minh Hieu, a university student and son of a worker at TBS Group Branch 7, expressed his joy at receiving a 2 million VND scholarship. He stated that this financial support is a significant encouragement for him to excel in his studies and prepare for the new academic year.

Tran Thi Thone, Deputy Chairwoman of the union at Lefaso, noted that this scholarship program has been held four times, with the company allocating over 1 billion VND annually to support and reward the children of workers who excel academically. Maintaining this initiative over the years not only helps with educational expenses but also motivates the children to strive for success.

Looking ahead, the union and the company plan to continue providing support for workers and their children, especially those facing hardships but achieving good academic results. This meaningful activity is essential to sustain.
