In a heartwarming turn of events, Le Viet Hong Anh, a 19-year-old student from Da Nang, received news that Sacombank had forgiven his family's debt of 1.7 billion VND, which had been left behind after the tragic death of his parents. The young man, who is currently in his second year at the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, was deeply moved by this gesture and immediately rushed home to inform his deceased parents at their altar.

Upon hearing the news, Hong Anh expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the bank and the community that supported him during this difficult time. He stated, "I will strive to study and live well to honor the kindness of those who have helped my family. Now that the debt is gone, I can focus on my education and building a better future." The debt forgiveness came after a tragic incident on July 30, where Hong Anh's parents, Le Ngoc Tuan and Ngo Thi Thanh, lost their lives in an electrical accident. This left Hong Anh and his younger brother, who is still in elementary school, orphaned and struggling with the burden of their parents' financial obligations.

Before the debt was forgiven, Hong Anh had written a heartfelt appeal to the bank, requesting consideration of his family's circumstances. Sacombank, after evaluating the situation, decided to waive the entire debt, allowing the siblings to keep their home, which is their only remaining asset.

Hong Anh's grandmother, 76-year-old Huynh Thi Tri, was also overwhelmed with joy upon learning about the debt cancellation. She expressed her relief and happiness that her grandchildren would not have to worry about losing their home.
