5 Lieutenants and 22 Army Officers Assigned New Duties

In a significant reshuffle, five lieutenants and 22 officers from the Vietnamese army have been appointed to new positions. This move is part of a broader strategy to optimize military operations and ensure effective leadership across various units.

On August 11, 2026, the Quang Ngai Military Command held a conference to announce these appointments. The decisions, made by Military Region 5, included the promotion of three officers to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, two as Deputy Heads of Political Affairs, and one officer assigned as Deputy Head of the Information Department within the Military Region 5 Staff.

Additionally, 15 other officers were assigned to key roles in newly established units, aligning with directives from the Ministry of National Defense. This restructuring is expected to enhance the military's adaptability and responsiveness to emerging challenges.

Furthermore, on the same day, the Quang Ninh Military Command also announced the reassignment of five officers to educational institutions within the province. This initiative aims to integrate military personnel into educational roles, fostering a stronger connection between military and civilian sectors.

These appointments come as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the capabilities and readiness of the Vietnamese military, ensuring that it remains effective in fulfilling its national defense responsibilities.
