UFC 330 Host Hotel Evacuated Before Weigh-Ins

UFC 330 fight week faced an unexpected disruption on Friday morning when the Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square hotel, hosting fighters and staff, was evacuated due to an emergency incident. The evacuation occurred around 6:30 AM, waking guests with a loud alarm that instructed them to leave the building immediately.

According to reports, guests, including UFC commentator Jon Anik and welterweight contender Carlos Prates, gathered outside the hotel while the situation was assessed. The evacuation lasted approximately 20 minutes, during which guests were informed that the emergency originated in the valet garage and required the Fire Department's assistance.

Fortunately, the evacuation did not disrupt the scheduled weigh-ins for UFC 330, which are set to take place at 8 AM local time. The event, headlined by Islam Makhachev versus Ian Machado Garry, is still on track for its Saturday night fight card. The weigh-ins will proceed as planned, allowing fighters to step on the scale ahead of their matchups.

This incident adds an unexpected twist to the already eventful UFC 330 fight week, which has seen its share of surprises and discussions among fans and analysts alike.
